Again!! Universitas Teknokrat IndonesiaNational Champion of Indonesian Submarine Robot

Bandar Lampung, – The Covid-19 pandemic has not hampered the achievements and productivity of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia students. Recently, the campus nicknamed The Champion won a proud achievement in the online 2020 national level ROV (Remotely Operated Underwater) Contest competition.

The Underwater Robot Team (TRex-02) Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia won the third national prize. Trex-02 Team Leader Supriyono said that in the contest, a team of seven people prepared for four months. “Despite the pandemic, we remain focused on preparations. Especially in the last month, intensive preparations,” he said yesterday.

In accordance with the current pandemic conditions, in this prestigious contest the team was challenged to make innovations for prototypes to send medical goods to remote islands. Responding to this challenge, Teknokrat succeeded in making a robot capable of diving to a depth of 1.5 meters with a distance of up to 20 meters in 1 minute 40 seconds. “With special technology and frequency, our robot can be operated properly from the water,” he said.

The Chancellor of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia , Nasrullah Yusuf, appreciated the achievements of students at the national level. “With all the limited conditions due to the pandemic, students continue to struggle to achieve achievements. This is a good and inspiring model,” he said.

Vice Rector I of theUniversitas Teknokrat Indonesia Mahathir Muhammad admitted that his party was not satisfied with this achievement. Mahathir encourages his students to achieve achievements at a higher level, namely ASEAN. Armed with the experience of winning 3rd place in the diving robot competition, Mahathir is optimistic that his students will get first place at the international level. “Even a pandemic, will not be able to hinder student achievement,” he said.
