Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Wins 3rd Place of National Microteaching Competition

A student of English Education Study Program of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, ASEAN’s Best PTS, won 3rd National Place on behalf of Maria Niken Pangesti with her supervisor Lulud Oktaviani, S.Pd., M.Pd. Maria, who is currently in her sixth semester, won the UNESHCO #7 2022 Competition in the “Micro-Teaching Competition” category which was held virtually.

This competition consists of two stages. First, students submit a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and the top 10 would be selected and announced on April 10, 2022. In this top 10 stage, there were 7 universities, including Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, IAIN Ponorogo, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo.

Second, the top 10 finalists were asked to submit learning videos recorded via zoom with some requirements, such as video cannot be edited, videos have a maximum duration of 30 minutes, and videos must have a maximum of 5 students and must be submitted a maximum of 28 April 2022.

After collecting the videos, the best three were chosen as champions and the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia won the National 3rd Place. On this occasion, the supervisor and head of the English Education study program of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Ms. Lulud Oktaviani, S.Pd., M.Pd. would like to thank the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, S.E., M.B.A. and the Teknokrat Foundation for their support. Hopefully, the English Education study program can continue being a winner in the next competition, especially in the online teaching category as one of the characteristics of the study program, namely virtual teachers where students are equipped with competencies on how to become online teachers in English Teaching Media and Micro Teaching courses.

Vice Rector of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, S.E., M.M. is proud of the achievements obtained by the student. Furthermore, he said that English Education Study program students must actively participate in both national and international competitions in both academic and non-academic categories.
