Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia PKM Financial Management Training for SMK Negeri Padang Cermin

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia as ASEAN’s best private university carried out community service activities (PkM) for the target school scheme, in this PKM carried out by Lecturers and Students of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science (FTIK) of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.

The PkM activities of the target schools are carried out at the Padang Cermin State Vocational School, which is located on Jl. Raya Way Ratay Km. 36.5 Padang Cermin, Padang Cermin District, Pesawaran Regency, Lampung. The activity was chaired by Heni Sulistiani, M.Kom. This lecturer at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, carried out the activity “Training the Use of Accurate Applications for Management of Financial Transactions”. The program is specifically for students of Padang Cermin State Vocational School. This training is one of two activities that have been planned by the PkM team of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the PkM of the target schools provided training with material on the use of the Accurate Application delivered by Suaidah, M.Kom, a Lecturer at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. In the delivery of the material explained about the importance of students improving student skills in the use of these financial management applications. This is because most of the business world and industry have started to switch from manual financial records to digital or computerized financial records, one of which is using the Accurate application.

The training process takes place interactively between the presenters and students, students actively follow the material presented and a question and answer process occurs. At the end of the activity, the speaker also conveyed the importance of students to continue their studies to a higher level of education. So that students of SMK N Padang Cermin are motivated to continue to higher education levels and have various certificates of competency skills both nationally and internationally to be ready to enter the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0.

The activities carried out by the PKM team at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Green Campus were welcomed by the Principal of SMK N Padang Cermin, Hadi Suwarno, A.Pi., M.Si. He said that PkM activities like this are very good and can improve students’ abilities and skills in using financial applications, especially in preparation for the Expertise Competency Examination for students. He hopes that similar activities can be carried out on an ongoing basis so that schools have a wide network of cooperation.

The PkM team consists of two lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, namely Suaidah, M.Kom. with the field of information systems science and Fikri Hamidy, S.E., S.Kom., M.S.Ak. with the field of accounting science. In addition, to support the smooth running of PkM activities, the lecturer team collaborated with three students from the D3 Accounting Information System study program, namely Rika Mersita, Yunita and Yasinta Ismi. These students help from the preparation process to the implementation of PkM activities for the target school scheme. In this PkM activity an assessment was also carried out to establish a documented collaboration in the form of a Cooperation Agreement between Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia and SMK N Padang Cermin. This is done so that close cooperation is established between the champion Green Campus and the school and can carry out other activities on an ongoing basis.

The PkM program of the target school scheme is an activity that is carried out regularly every year which is held through the LPPM of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia for lecturers. This PkM activity is carried out as a form of consistency in the implementation of the Tri Dharma Higher Education activities within Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, ASEAN’s Best Private University.
