Packaging Manufacturing Training
In this PKM activity, training on packaging for marning products produced by marning SMEs in the village was carried out. This packaging training is carried out to improve the quality of the packaging so that it has a higher selling value in the market.
An item or food to be sold in the market must use standardized packaging so that the safety and quality of the product is maintained. In addition, packaging is also used to attract buyers’ interest in the products to be sold, because the packaging is the first thing that consumers see. The more attractive the product packaging, it is hoped that more people will buy it so that it can increase sales.
In addition, after completing the packaging, proceed with labeling, namely designing a sticker that will be affixed to the packaging to display the characteristics of Mesuji Timur marning products with various flavors and unparalleled crispness.
Representatives of Marning Business Actor in PKM Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia
Suparlan as a representative of the marning business actor thanked the UTI PKM team for holding this activity because related to design and packaging, marning sellers had many obstacles before.
“We feel very helped by the packaging and labeling training, so that people can take advantage of the knowledge that has been obtained to improve the quality of their products so that people can get more profit,” he said.
Chairman of the Institute for Research and Community Service Ahmad Ari Aldino, S.Si., M.Sc. explained that the lecturers and students of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia who were assigned to each community service were the best students.
Before implementing PKM to the community, all are provided with adequate knowledge and information regarding the situation and conditions at the PKM location so that PKM results are maximized. Aldino said that business actors must have a growth mindset, namely a mindset that always wants to move forward, by selling quality products but without good packaging it will reduce the selling value, so this training is very suitable to be carried out with field conditions because business actors have not implemented packaging according to standards in the industry. market.
Vice Chancellor of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. said that the fostered village is one of the flagship programs of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia in the field of community service.
With this service, lecturers and students of the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia can do real things for the community and the environment. In particular, providing assistance and providing related knowledge in training, hopefully with the training the results can be applied and will support increasing sales results with attractive packaging.
