Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia ASEAN’s Best Private University exhibited the work and innovations of its students in the creativity of paper and plastic waste into building miniature products and crafts at the Dr. Student Center. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, (28/3/2022).
This one-day activity is to support the government in preventing climate change and global warming programs, creating environmentally friendly innovations and opening up business opportunities.
Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia carried out this student creativity activity with the theme “Green Technology Innovation Toward Improving Economic Productivity”, this activity was attended by high school / vocational students throughout Lampung.
The Green Exhibition for the Utilization of Paper and Plastic Waste was exhibited by creative students of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. Participants in the activity consisted of 99 students from 33 teams from the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science and the Faculty of Arts and Education at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.
In this activity, Yusra Fernando, M.Kom. The lecturer at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia as the person in charge said that this activity also commemorated the National Waste Care Day.
With the waste recycling efforts, students can develop creativity and create works that can be of value to the community, this activity is a “4R Waste Care Competition” by implementing the 4Rs namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, explained Yusra.
Activities carried out with competitions to make handicrafts from used goods, from paper, plastic, cloth, cans, wood that are not used can be reused, become items of reusable value, economical, artistic value and it is hoped that with the application of 4R, students and the general public can participate in reducing waste in the surrounding environment and society, added Yusra.
In this activity, the best works that are beneficial to the community are selected. The following are the winners. Namely, 1st place winner with a bag made of aqua glass lid from the Management Study Program by students Widyantari Dwipa (Chairman), Windi Anggraini and Lestari Anggraini;
2nd place with a basket made of plastic cups for Information Systems Study Program by students Bagus Ramadhani (Chairman), Ika Septiana and Gilang Permata Ramadhan;
3rd place winner with a pen container from a bottle used by the Management Study Program by students Sovi Dwi Kurnia (Chairman), Dian Puspita Sari and Neiska Mila Aryanti.
For Best Aesthetics Category ogoh-ogoh from the Management Study Program by students Ketut Agung Indrayana (Chairman) and Kadek Oka Mahenrdra;
Best for Creativity from the category of Building Teknokrat for Management Study Program students by students Julian Ardi Ananda (Chairman), Wahyudin and Dea Theresia;
Best Economical in the skincare rack category from the Accounting Study Program by students Rahma Puspita Dewi (Chairman), Ira Putri Utami and Meiza Anjelita;
Best Art Category used glass lanterns for Information Systems Study Program by students Anggi Yovyan Rizki Akbar (Chairman), Putri Elisa and Laisha Amilna;
Best Innovation in decorative lighting category from ice cream sticks Management Study Program Rizky Kurniawan (Chairman), Regita Ledyyana and Serli Restalina;
Best idea, The idea for the garbage-eating monster category was made from a spoon from the Management Study Program I Wayan Sandi Saputra (Chairman), Yovitra and Dinda Indah Jelita.
Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. conveyed that Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, ASEAN’s Best Private University, continues to contribute to assisting the government in solving global problems such as climate change and global warming. (Teknokrat).
