The Community Service Program Team (PKM) of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia School Scheme consisting of lecturers and students provided training in English language learning through Active Learning at MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah, Central Lampung on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The team members are Berlinda Mandasari, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Lecturer of English Education), Intan Hamzah, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Lecturer of English Education), Dyah Aminatun, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Lecturer of English Education), Mutiara Ayu, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Lecturer of English Education), Tri Darma Rosmalasari, S.E., M.S.Ak. (Accounting Lecturer), and Dimas Ardian (English Literature Student).

The Head of the activity, Berlinda Mandasari, S.Pd., M.Pd. revealed that the purpose of this PKM activity was to provide an understanding of interesting and interactive English learning for students of MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah, Central Lampung. The activity reviewed material about learning English through a fun and interactive method, this material was delivered by 3 English Language Education lecturers, namely: Intan Hamzah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dyah Aminatun, S.Pd., M. Pd., and Mutiara Ayu, S.Pd., M.Pd. Each lecturer explained the importance of mastering English in the modern era, as well as how to make learning fun so that students are interested in learning. To conclude today’s training, Berlinda Mandasari, S.Pd., M.Pd, as the head of the PKM Team also provided learning motivation for students of MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah, Central Lampung.

This PKM activity was well received by the school. The Principal of MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah, Didik Fitri Cahyono, S.Si., said that this training on learning English through Active Learning is very much needed and useful for students, especially in facing the development of industry 4.0. “I really appreciate the training and motivation that has been provided by  Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia for MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah students. By learning English through Active Learning, our students have the knowledge and understanding of learning English.” In this activity, Didik hopes that the form of cooperation between Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia and MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah, Central Lampung can continue in the future.

On this occasion, Berlinda also thanked the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, SE, MBA and the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia for providing extraordinary support so that this training activity could be realized and carried out properly.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia PKM team that carried out activities at MA Ma’arif 9 Kota Gajah expressed their gratitude to Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, SE, MBA, who has supported this activity so that it could run.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, appreciated the PKM activities that had been carried out by lecturers at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. So far, dozens of schools in Lampung have become the place for PKM Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. Mahathir added that currently Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has the trust of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to provide assistance to the Center for Excellence (PK) Vocational School Program by universities in Lampung Province. This belief cannot be separated from the active campus of the champion in carrying out community service.
