Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Attends the 71st Anniversary of UMI Makassar, Strengthening Synergy and Collaboration

Makassar, June 23, 2025 – Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) took part in the 71st Anniversary Celebration of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Makassar, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening academic networks and fostering collaboration among national and international universities.

The UTI delegation was led by Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, S.E., M.M., Vice Rector, accompanied by Achmad Yudi Wahyudin, M.Pd., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Ryan Randy Suryono, M.Kom., Vice Rector for Cooperation. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. H. Mansyur Ramly, Chairman of the UMI Endowment Foundation Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Thalib, M.H., Chairman of the UMI Endowment Foundation; the Rector of UMI; and the university’s executive board.

The anniversary celebration began with a Ramah Tamah (fellowship gathering), attended by religious leaders, institutional representatives, and UMI alumni from across the country. This event served as a moment to strengthen bonds and reaffirm shared values of nationalism and Islamic excellence upheld by UMI as one of Indonesia’s leading Islamic universities.

On the second day, the 71st Anniversary Ceremony of UMI was held in a vibrant and dignified atmosphere. The event was attended by prominent figures, including the Ambassador of Palestine to Indonesia, Head of LLDIKTI Region IX Dr. Andi Lukman, M.Si., the Rector of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), as well as governors, regents, and rectors of public and private universities from all over Indonesia.

During the event, UTI expressed its appreciation for UMI’s longstanding contributions to higher education in Indonesia and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration in the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma): education, research, and community service. This collaboration is envisioned to take shape through faculty and student exchange programs, joint seminars, and collaborative research initiatives.

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia’s participation in UMI’s anniversary celebration reflects a spirit of openness and cooperation, which serves as a fundamental pillar in building a quality, inclusive, and impactful higher education ecosystem.
