ASEAN’s Best Private University Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Hosts Regional Innovation Competition Balitbangda (Research and Development Agency) Lampung

Today, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia is hosting the Regional Innovation Competition for the Final Presentation Selection Phase held by the Lampung Regional Research and Development Agency (Balitbangda). The event was held at the Dr HM Nasrullah Yusuf SE MBA Student Center.

In his remarks, Head of Balitbangda Lampung, Hamartoni Ahadis, said that this competition aims to provide space for all researchers and researchers in the region to be able to develop technology that is easy to apply in the community.

In addition, it is digital-based because it is considered easier for the community and to implement the technology. On that basis, said Hamartoni, this year’s big theme is integrative and digital-based implementation innovation for the sake of Lampung Berjaya.

Hamartoni said that his party opened a wide space for the creations of the nation’s children, especially from Lampung. They can come from students, university students, and even state civil servants.

Hamartoni said he had a dream that ASN could also conduct research and development for applied technology that is easy to apply.

He believes that ASN in Lampung has sufficient competence to design innovative ideas. He also encourages the development of digital-based technology.

“Now is no longer the time for manual ones. We must also adapt to technology. We hope that this regional innovation competition can trigger new ideas whose implementation is easy for the community to use,” said Hamartoni.

He said that it would require a large amount of money if the results of this innovation were to be developed on a wider scale. Therefore, he also encourages synergies from many parties so that future technological discoveries can be made in even more quantities.

“This is also the role of the mass media. With the mass media coverage, many people know that Lampung’s potential is high. We hope from here that collaboration and synergy will be realized. So, innovations in this competition in the future can indeed be produced more and can be used more widely,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr HM Nasrullah Yusuf SE MBA in his remarks read by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Affairs Muhammad Najib Dwi Satria S. Kom MT said that his party was pleased to be the host of this event. He said that it had been a long time collaborating with Balitbangda Lampung in a similar competition.

The Rector said, Teknokrat really pay high attention to the development of regional innovation. That’s why this campus sends many teams to participate in national and international competitions.

Regarding technology, the Rector said that his party has also developed environmentally friendly solar-powered vehicles. This product was even exhibited in many national scale events.

The Rector also welcomed the idea of ​​the Head of Balitbangda who wants this innovative product from Lampung to be produced in the future.

The Rector said that his party allocated sufficient funds to encourage students and lecturers to be creative in creating new findings that could be used simply by the public in the future.

He believes that moving towards mass production takes time and the cooperation of many parties. However, it is possible, with the synergy of many parties, this innovation can manifest in more products that are easily found on the market.

The Rector explained, regarding this innovation, Teknokrat is very open. That’s why, for the past few years, evaluations from UniRank, Webometrics, and UI GreenMetric have always placed Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia in a high position.

This, said the Rector, because in the administration on campus, his party really prioritizes the information technology approach so that it can answer the needs of today’s education.

The Rector added that last August, Teknokrat made another achievement at the national level. The ranking carried out by Webometrics, based in Spain, places Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia as the best private university in Indonesia and ranks II among the best private universities and private universities in Indonesia in the Impact Rank.

Then the Openness Rank funds, Teknokrat is in the first position of the best private universities in Indonesia and ranked 12th best PTN and PTS in Indonesia.

For the National Overall Rank, Teknokrat is in the 17th best PTS in Indonesia and 55th best PTN and PTS in Indonesia. Vice-Rector Dr H Mahathir Muhammad SE MM specifically advised Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia students to make this regional innovation competition a place to compete in a healthy manner. He encouraged that in the future the innovative products produced were truly the best and had the chance to be used massively by the community.
