Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, The Best Asian Private University, did community service in Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung Regency. The team is lectures and students from the English Literature study program, Faculty of Arts and Education (FSIP). Meanwhile, Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara is located on Jalan Pramuka Labuhan Ratu, Way Jepara District, East Lampung Regency, approximately two hours from Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.

The Community Service member of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, the Green and Champion Campus, was Dina Amelia, M.Hum. as a leader, along with other members namely Samanik, M.Hum., Budi Eko Pranoto, M.Hum., Ingatan Gulo, M.Hum., and Suprayogi, M. Hum. Moreover, not only the lecturers but students were also involved in this team. They were Risma Amalia Sa’adah and Bagas Maulana. Both the students are members of the English Club of Student Activity Unit at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia and are outstanding students.
Community Service’ Activity – Training Public Speaking for Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung
During the community service, the English Literature Study Program team provided Public Speaking training for students of Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung, especially speech. This activity is following the current needs of Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara students, East Lampung. English is considered an international means of communication nowadays.
Besides that, this kind of training is still limited to be implemented while students have great potential to be developed. In this activity, Samanik, M. Hum. became the main speaker who explained that public speaking is currently needed by anyone, whether as a student, or worker. We have no idea what jobs we will get in the future, but in this era of globalization, we will face many situations where we meet many people, including people from other countries.
This training activity was carried out interactively with material that was easily accepted by students of Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung. The students are directed to convey simple topics which then become confident and memorable English speeches. The students of Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung, were very enthusiastic about participating in this public speaking training.

This community service program was opened directly by the Principal of Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung, Mr. Riyanto, S.E. In his welcoming speech, he said that Senior High School Teladan of Way Jepara, East Lampung, has produced graduates who are currently taking part in doctoral education and working in well-known institutions. This is expected to provide a spark of enthusiasm for students to continue to a higher level and be confident in communicating in English.

This community service program is a routine activity every semester organized by the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Arts and Education, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia as a form of consistency in the implementation of the three main activities of the Best ASEAN private universities.
