LECTURERS AND STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITAS TEKNOKRAT INDONESIA INVOLVES A ROBOT ASSEMBLY AT SMA LAMPUNG CENTRAL

Lecturers and Students of ASEAN’s Best Private University Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia provide training to assemble intelligent robots at the Gaya Baru Seputih High School, Surabaya, Central Lampung Regency. The activity was held on Wednesday, October 6, 2022 in the Hall of the New Style High School Seputih Surabaya. This activity aims to provide knowledge to students about how to assemble robots in a simple way so that they can attract students to learn more challenging robotics. The activity was attended by New Style High School students.

In this activity, the team of Lecturers and Students who carry out Community Service to the target schools is Dr.Si. Dedi Darwis, M.Kom., Jaka Persada Sembiring, S.Kom., M.Cs., and 5 students from the robotics team of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, namely Ahmad Maula Said, Ananda M Faturahman, Dedi Kurniawan, Wayan Rio, and Hegen Persada. The arrival of the team of UTI lecturers and students was welcomed by the Principal of the New Style High School, Mrs. Dwi Lestari, S.Pd. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude to the UTI team for being willing to attend and provide training to their students.

The intelligent robot that is taught is the Line Follower Robot, which is a robot that can automatically run according to the arena that has been created. The robot will follow the arena marked with black.

In the same activity, Dr. Si. Dedi Darwis, M. Kom. who is the head of the activity team to socialize to the teachers of the New Style High School about the implementation of the independent curriculum. Dedi is a driving school facilitator assigned to assist and socialize the independent curriculum to several schools at the high school level. The activity was attended by 20 teachers at Gaya Baru High School.

Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. hopes that this activity can trigger the enthusiasm of the next generation of Indonesian students to participate in developing and becoming intelligent robot makers that can benefit the Indonesian people and for teachers to increase their competence in implementing an independent curriculum.
