Cocovate Souvenir: Coconut Husk Waste Innovation by Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Secures P2MW 2025 Funding

The student team from Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has successfully developed Cocovate Souvenir, an eco-friendly innovation that transforms coconut husk waste into creative and sustainable souvenirs.

This breakthrough innovation has secured funding under the 2025 Entrepreneurial Student Development Program (P2MW) in the creative industry, arts, and culture category.

Led by Shella Febriyani and supervised by lecturer Nabila Putri Maharani, S.M, M.M, the team includes members Mas Amah and Fadhiyah Rahma. Together, they have successfully turned coconut husk residue into attractive souvenirs that not only help reduce environmental waste but also contribute to boosting the local economy.

The team envisions that their innovation could be adopted by local communities, offering them additional income opportunities. They also hope this initiative will inspire other students to develop similar waste-to-product innovations and address environmental challenges often overlooked.

Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, Vice Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, expressed his appreciation for the team’s achievement. He praised their ability to identify business opportunities from coconut husk waste and applauded their creativity in contributing to sustainable entrepreneurship.
